Project Coordinator: My name is Ahmed Dadzie. I come from Ghana, West Africa. It has always been my dream and desire to be a politician someday. These dreams and aspirations led me to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After completing my BA, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Communication Studies with a National Security Minor. I believe that to be a good politician one must be a good communicator, and that is why I decided to earn my MA in Communication Studies. I am currently pursing my PhD in Rhetoric and professional communication. I was also elected as the President for the Communication Studies Graduate Student Association (CSGSA) for the Fall 2016 semester, and recently completed my term of office.

Budget and Finance: I am Nasim Hasan, a Graduate student (MS) major in Computer Science (CS) at New Mexico State University (NMSU). I am from Bangladesh, which is a tiny country situated in the South of Asia. My passion relies on integrating technologies for the welfare of society and the human beings. During my spare time, I love to travel, watch TV Shows/Movies. I also indulge myself in the community services during my free time. My favorite sports include Soccer (Football), Cricket etc.

My name is Cheerie Patneaude. I am currently a graduate student in the Water Science and Management PhD program. I am interested in water policies effects upon irrigation and groundwater in New Mexico and most specifically, I want to apply my studies in sustainable remediation to several drinking water contamination in New Mexico. I am in my second year at NMSU. Prior to that I worked at a hazardous work-site and conducted safety, environmental, and health audits for OSHA. It was easy to volunteer for the committee on S.P.A.C.E, (Spreading peace and countering extremism) as I care about everyone’s safety, health, and the environment in which we all live.

Public Relation: My name is Ana Rodríguez Meroño and I am originally from Spain. I came to NMSU for the first time two years ago as an exchange student and I liked it so much I decided to stay and started to get a master’s degree in Spanish Linguistics. At first, I wanted I wanted to become a teacher of Spanish as second language, but my interests changed when I decided to take a minor on Communication and National Security, realizing that I could use Linguistics and Communication to try to get different cultures together. I couldn’t escape from the multicultural environment I was involved in since I came for the first time, neither could not I notice the recent radicalization some groups of population were suffering. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpreting, which gave me the experience of becoming a mediator and communicator between cultures.

My name is Tim Watkins. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a Minor in Counseling and Educational Psychology from NMSU and I have two degrees in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. My work experiences include the Marine Corp, pastoring churches in urban and rural communities, and processing claims for a large insurance company. These experiences have given me a great appreciation for Organizational and Leadership Communication but, having traveled to at least a dozen countries outside of the United States and living in a world that is connected and rapidly changing has given me a passion for Communication and Culture. My goal is to spend the rest of my working years teaching COMM 265 because I cannot imagine a college course that is more practical for personal, professional, and academic lives.

My name is Keith Fingers. Ever since I can remember I’ve had a passion for the arts. Knowing this, I chose to pursue an undergraduate degree in Animation and Visual Effects. My goal in life is to create powerful imagery through film and other artistic platforms that will make the world a better place. I want to bring the world together through my art. After graduating New Mexico State, I plan on attending graduate school, and earning my master’s degree in architecture.
